Shane Jeshan Veerasingam

Shane has been drumming since the age of five, building a solid foundation through the Rockschool syllabus, where he aced his Grade 7 and 8 with distinctions. Under the mentorship of drumming legends like Elroy Jiek, Joash Loh, and Edwin Nathaniel, he mastered chops, limb independence, and all the essential skills to groove like a pro. Since 2019, he has been bringing the beat to Every Nation Church, rocking both the drums and cajon with energy and passion.

Outside of church, Shane loves jamming to fusion and math rock, taking inspiration from bands like Polyphia and Chon. Influenced by drumming greats like Matt Garstka and Zack Greybeal, he blends innovative techniques into his own unique style. Whether it’s complex rhythms or explosive fills, he’s always exploring new ways to push his drumming further.

As a teacher, Shane is all about keeping lessons fun and engaging. His energy is infectious, and kids absolutely love learning with him! Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to refine your skills, Shane will guide you every step of the way—helping you groove, improvise, and most importantly, enjoy the process of making music.
